In my opinion, the most interesting things to draw/paint. You can’t really go wrong with it, because all eyes, mouths, noses etc look different. I find it the easiest to draw with a mirror. By looking at my own facial features, it helps make the drawings look more realistic.
Lana Del Rey and Marilyn Monroe.
Marilyn Monroe‘s hair was the most challenging to copy. Her features are so sharp. Also, it’s difficult to draw celebrities because if they go a little bit wrong, it doesn’t end up looking like them. My LanaDel Rey painting went wrong several times. It still isn’t my strongest but I enjoyed doing it.
Eyes are by far my most favourite facial feature: To take photos of and to draw. It’s a lot more ambitious to try and paint one because of the risk of messing it up.. although I guess that goes for everything. It’s alluring because I’ve always had an interest in drawing eyes. My interpretation has changed a lot.
I am loving this weather. It is such an unpopular opinion! Winter over Summer any day. During the winter it rains, snows, windy, foggy, hail, storms. A whole lot more exciting that heatwaves and burning in the sun, in my opinion! The soothing sound of the trickling taps of the rain hitting against the window is so snug. Everybody is a whole lot happier during the winter season too. People get together more. In the summer, it is sometimes dominated by sweaty, mood teenagers (Not a great combination!). The main thing is, you need to make most of your day indoors. Do something creative in your house instead of lazing in front of the TV with a jar of Nutella. Your creativity will only expand as an affect of your actions.
During MY wet rainy days, I paint, and paint, and paint. (Shocker). I attempted another painting by Agnes Cecile. Big Bang of Watercolour. It is my most favourite painting of all time. It is beautifully presented, it makes you think of a thousand different thoughts. The girl looks unhappy, but this contradicts the warm colours. Ever heard the saying “A sad girl can fake a smile“? I think this relates. This painting has such a huge impact, I have chosen to do it for my art final piece. I hope it goes well!
Beautiful weather means time to whip out the camera! I like the rustiness of the swing chain contrasting with the warm, saturated background. I think it sets a really good mood. Don’t get any ideas- I hate spiders! However the formation of a spider’s web is so riveting, I HAD to snap a photo.
Today has been dominated by revision– again! My bestest friend Leah came round and we revised for our mocks together. If you’re into fashion you need to check out her and her sister’sblognow! Anyway, went on a cute walk with my baby sister! We walked down to the park, around the neighbourhood and other places. This weather is so brilliant for cute family time aswell as spending time with friends. Summer is amazing!
These are photographs of my baby sister from about one year ago. It was at my Uncle’s engagement party last June. Wow time goes quick! Has immense fun with the family, I love family gatherings. From what I comprehend, most teenage girls hate it. I don’t understand.. how can you hate seeing your family? Anyway, I was browsing through the hundreds of photos that were taken within that week, and came across some adorable photos of my baby sister that I had taken. I wanted someone to draw, a celebrity. I had thinkers block and seemed to have forgotten every celeb I’ve ever liked! Typical. Eventually I came across the idea to draw a family member. In the end I chose my beautiful baby sister. I didn’t draw an accurate drawing, I decided to have some fun and turn her into a cartoon!
Took these photos a week ago or so. Whenever I’m free and have nothing to do, I just go out and take photos of nothing. If not that, then I’d draw nothing. Today was such a lazy day, revision completely failed on me as my concentration levels are missing under the Earth’s crust. It’s a beautiful day today! It’s nice to sit in the garden. Half term is over in less than 2 days, the bliss of doing nothing shall soon be over.
Sun, sea and sundae’s were the main factors of Barcelona City! It truly was a fantastic holiday. It’s so different to England too, which was why it was so lovely being there. Unlike England, the Spanish people travel from place to place on foot! There isn’t half the traffic you get here in the UK. The pedestrians crossings are absolutely huge, the streets are so alive, the people are so jolly, there is so much to see. For that reason I think, we walked around for two whole days, just around the city. My word, it is so beautiful. My feet were killing me though! Although we spent on day on the Barcelona Bus Touristic, which was a double decker bus with the top open, that drove around half of the city to all the tourist destinations! we only went on one of the buses which is the East of Barcelona, and we still managed to go to 17 destinations! It was fantastic. The lustful, sandy beaches with the view of the crystal clear sea were so relaxing so sit on with the family. Of course, shopping was an amazing part of the trip! We bought a lot of things there, did most of the shopping at a place called La Ramblas. Anyway, the trip didn’t last long as it was only for 5 days. To be honest it felt as if we saw the entire country! Places we visited: La Ramblas, Cataluyna Square, Town, Zoo de Barcelona, Marbella Beach, Villa Olympia, Park Guell, Tibedabo, Sagrada de Familia, Plaza de Espagna, La Pedera and so many more places. I can’t remember them all at the top of my head!
